The coldest day I have ever experienced. SY 1601 was shunting the Jalainur washery in a temperature of -40C. The crew seemed strangely reluctant to leave the cab.

Operation was intermittent. You took a shot or two and then put the camera under your coat to try to warm it up. Battery life is minimal at those temperatures and the silicon in the camera is only rated to -35C. The crystal displays would start to break down too.
