Chas Keyworth, Wadsley Bridge
This brickworks was erected after 1892 on land adjacent to the railway goods yard at Wadsley Bridge. In 1898 Charles Keyworth was the proprietor of the New Patent Plastic Brick Company, Halifax Road, Wadsley Bridge, Sheffield. He disappears from the records after 1913 and in 1916, the New Patent Plastic Brick Company has Mrs. Elizabeth Brindley as proprietress. The works was redeveloped with two Hoffmann kilns soon after and seems to have continued until the mid 1960s.
