Watkin, Dalehall

The location of the Watkin, Dalehall works is a matter of conjecture. I wonder whether this was the small brickworks shown on the 1877-79 OS map just west of the Dalehall Pottery and south of Albion Street in Middleport. This site had been built up with houses by 1899. It cannot have been the Dalehall Brickworks on Ellgreave Street as the ownership of that works has been clearly established. I can find no listing of this works in any of the trade directories.
