The Sunday Challenge: Pareidolia
Challenge for this Sunday was Pareidolia, a phenomenon which causes one to see something different than it actually is, for instance the well-known face in the full moon.
Last September I hiked in Swedish Lapland, partially along the Kungsleden. Two stones in the foreground bear fresh red markings of this trail. Beside the trail I saw this dark erratic boulder, which shows a face coming out of the ground. Since Scandinavia is known for its mythological beings it might be the head of a giant, for instance Jötun although the geographical location is far off. But with mythological beings anything is possible...
