Neither nature nor society is not sweet or kind to people. Both just are. And people are vulnerable in both.
From nature I already knew. I know that from my own hiking experience in (sub)arctic regions. And also from two Dutch polar explorers drowned in Northern Canada half a year ago in their mission for a sustainable future. They were vulnerable too. Both explorers were commemorated last week. Both are still inspirational to me.
Last week it entered my mind that this vulnerability also applies to society.
On the photo a souvenir of my hiking experience on Spitsbergen (Svalbard), in the polar region. There I realised very much that a human being is very small in comparison with nature, and as a human being you have not much to tell there. The mug is filled with frozen hearts, and the heart is symbol for love which warmth melts barriers between people. Love is warm, makes strong, but is also making one vulnerable.
So the warm drink may be quite symbolic here.

I really like the spin that you have taken, plus the philosophy!
