I still hope that Ipernity survives !! But since it seems that the end is not far off, I thought I'd put up a few of the photos that haven't quite made it in my previous posts !! Might as well get my value from the subscription before it's too late !!
They are either personal or family mementos, or other things that I liked, but thought might not be so interesting to other people, - or else some… (read more)

Panhard Dyna X
Designed during WW2 by the visionary French engineer Jean-Albert Grégoire (1899-1992). Built largely from aluminium, it had an air-cooled flat twin engine, front wheel drive, and all round independent suspension.
Sold originally in 1946 as the AFG Dyna, the design was bought by the Panhard company, and production of this model continued until 1954, when a successor, the Dyna Z was introduced.

Rowcroft, Stroud, Gloucestershire
How to ruin a perfectly decent facade !! How they got planning permission for this monster bay window is a mystery !
The two bay windows lower down are not original either, but are much more in keeping with this otherwise stylish terrace.

Saint Mary's church, Tetbury, Gloucestershire.
  18th century Gothic.
This elegant building was built on the site of an older medieval church, in 1777. A nice example of an earlier style done with the precision of a later era.

Dome and Cupola
Seen between two municipal buildings in Limoges. Not certain, but I think it is a theatre.

Garden Chairs
Taken with the oldest camera I own, an early 1920's Kodak Pocket 1A.
It was made to use 116 size film, unobtainable for decades, so I machined up some spool adapters and put a roll of Fomapan 100 through it. Using 120 film gives a format of 6x11cms, so you get a semi-panoramic result. This was the best of the six frames, - despite my efforts with black tape, there were still light leaks. Vintage treatment in Gimp.
