Bear Flag Monument

Bear Flag Monument
On June 14, 1846 a group of Yanqui insurrectionists raised the Bear Flag in Sonoma Plaza declaring the foundation of the Republic of California in a brazen takeover of the territory from the Mexican Military Governor, General Mariano Guadalupe Vallejo.

This photo was taken by a Yashica FR1 SLR 35mm film camera with a Yashica ML 28mm 1:2.8 lens and Hoya HMC 52mm Y(K2) filter using Rollei Blackbird Creative 64 film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitalized by Photoshop.
