Bracted Honeysuckle

This is my favourite stage of Bracted Honeysuckle, when it has developed two large purple/black berries, cradled by bright red, hairy bracts. Photographed when a few of us spent the day at Kananaskis Lakes on 5 August 2012. Our plan had been to hike the Canadian Mt. Everest trail, but a Grizzly Bear and her cub near the parking lot made us decide to drive a little further and hike the Sarrail Creek Falls trail, Upper Kananaskis Lake.
