Reaching out

Reaching out
These small Split Gill (?) fungi made me think of tiny hands reaching out through a crack in a fallen log : ) I suspect that these are old fungi or else ones that are not in the best condition. Seen (when everyone else was looking upwards for birds, ha) on a walk from Bankside to Mallard Point, Fish Creek Park, a few days ago.
