Desolation

What a difference a day makes! Very true of our weather in Calgary! My next photo, Moon shot 2, was taken yesterday afternoon. Above is what we had to brave this morning, when we walked for almost three hours, searching for birds : ). Temperature was around -11C (with wind chill, -20C). I always used to think birders were weird people (before I became one) - and now I know it must be true, LOL, if we leave our nice warm beds at some unearthly hour to face THIS! They are a great bunch of fun people, I hasten to add.
