"New" London.... all high rise, metal and glass... early morning, looking east, beyond the fence.

HFF everyone!

When people recycled but did not call it recycling.... Around Deptford, you will see these strange looking fences blocking off the front yards of local council estates. It appears that these were WWII stretchers, used to carry the wounded, and which, when no longer needed, were repurposed into fences/railings.... You can find some in Peckham and Brixton also.

Leading onto Gate street; I never realised there are so many alleyways around Holborn...
