Oxford Biochemistry Building - Flipped

Oxford Biochemistry Building - Flipped
This is an old photo that I copied and flipped. The process is readily available on the Internet but I have the 'Digital Photographer's Guide to Photoshop Elements' by Barry Beckham from 2003. In this book it details the process with screenshots and pictures. I will be trying this again with some other photos but I think I need to write down the process on a sheet of paper so that I don't have to keep trying to find the book :-)

...................Please view photo large. Thank you..................

I looked for a 'Flipped' song for 'Sight and Sound' and all I could find was "Flip Flop and Fly" by Big Joe Turner :-)

Fantastic work!
Haha, I can relate to your experience, I always struggle with PS (Elements) and never can remenber what I have done.... I find Lightroom so much easier but it doesn't allow for things such as flipping.

Thank you very much, Gudrun. Very much appreciated.
I haven't used Lightroom and perhaps I should seek it out :-)
I do use a number of different photo programs, some paid for and some free by one method or another :-)

I still have an old standalone version of Lightroom. Now you have to pay monthly. which I consider a rip-off.

Umm........ "pay monthly". Yes, sounds like rip off! I'll probably stick to the programs I already have :-)

Thanks for your interest Roger.
Here is one that’s a 90 degree flip of Chatsworth house and Fountain

And one personal favourite that I think is closer to an abstract for other people

To me it looked nothing special until I flipped it and some magic appeared.

Thanks for the links, Colin. I have commented upon both. I think the Hurst Reservoir one works best and love the artistic feel that has been created. As I said this could become a time-consuming pastime for me :-)

A great process and superb result Roger
I am using a 2020 version by Scott Kelby and that is full of paper bookmarks for the same reason ;-))
Enjoyed the link, thanks.

Thank you very much, Roger. Appreciated. Yes, bookmarks are very useful to find those techniques I think I fully know only to realise there are bits missing from my memory :-))
I have found Scott Kelby's book an Amazon. Used copies not too badly priced but may search other sites e.g. ebay!
