The 'A to Z' hoarding in Broad Street is no more :-(
Today in Oxford was sad because one of my fave photo places is now quite different. The 'A to Z' hoarding in Broad Street has gone! Now replaced, as you will see, by some non-photogenic metal barriers! These are to be removed soon.
The redeveloped New Bodleian library building has been renamed as the Weston Library in honour of a £25 million donation given in March 2008 by the Garfield Weston Foundation toward its transformation into an advanced special collections library and cultural centre. The Weston Library is now open to readers and researchers of special collections. An official opening is planned for March 2015. The newly-renovated building will accommodate readers of Special Collections with excellent facilities for scholarship (info from the Bodleian Libraries website).
Now, what shall I photograph? :-)
