Just Hangin' Around
[best appreciated at full size against black]
Yesterday I showed you an image of the gills of a mushroom growing under a log. I mentioned that I found two more mushrooms there too, and this little fella is just a wee bit mixed up. He's decided that he's a bat and is growing upside down from the "ceiling" of the log! This cute little bugger is only about 1/2" from stem to cap and just 1/4" in diameter!
Many of you are just as fascinated about mushrooms as I am. I found a very cool graphic from Wikipedia which shows the different shapes of a mushroom and what each kind is called. Very interesting and fun to see! upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/64/Mushroom_cap_...
I've uploaded two other pictures today and I hope you'll visit them too!
Thanks to all of you who have visited and have left comments and favorites! I try to go to all of your pages within a day or two and is a highlight for me to see your beautiful photography! :)
NOTE! I have finally updated my profile and I hope you'll take a look to find out a little more about me and how important all of you are to my experience here on Flickr!
