Lake Mohave, Black Canyon

From the Arizona side, looking toward Nevada. Lake Mohave is formed by Davis Dam on the Colorado River, below Hoover Dam, and fills Black Canyon at its upstream end, as here. The lake is narrow enough that much of the flavor of the river in the canyon is preserved.
