Starting the float trip from below Hoover Dam down the Colorado River. The river gradually bloats out into Lake Mohave, which is backed up by Davis Dam downstream. The take-out point is Willow Beach on the Arizona side, about 14 river miles. The air temperature was around 110 F (40 C)--you wanted to be on--or in--the water!
