Monument for the widening of the road from Kneuterdijk to Buitenhof
Before 1923, all the traffic had to go through the Prison Gate. By demolishing a few buildings and snipping a bit of the Hofvijver (Court Pond), a wide road was created. Now that cars are unpopular, most through-traffic is banned from this road.
