We restaged the cover of "The Secret Life of Bees," a book my daughter was assigned at school this year (7th grade). The "honey" is actually honey-lemon iced tea; the bees are made from raisins, jellybeans, licorice, and sliced almonds, all skewered with toothpicks and balanced on drinking straws.

Husband and son putting a star on Ystradgynlais, where husband's great-grandfather Davies came from. Later in the day, another star appeared on Ystradgynlais, but we didn't see who put it there.

Parklet on Spring 1

In downtown LA, on Spring Street, there is a public parklet in the space that used to be two curbside parking spaces. The parklet has seating, a little greenery, two stationary bikes, and a foozball table. I'm sitting on one of the "swings" in this photo.
