Freeform Crochet Bag

The paisley shapes started out as the nuclei of some squares for a collaborative afghan, but they wouldn't stay in the margins (just like a paisley!), and they kept growing until they looked ready to be a bag. All thrifted yarns, all acrylic worsted, except some metallic accents, and some beads, and some buttons.... lined with most of an old black jersey t-shirt. I know it looks wonky, but I like it anyway.

Two more squares for the collaboration afghans in a local group swap--these are for an afghan with a "rose garden" theme.

Redondo Pier Chalk Art Festival 2011--our square before we started. You can see that we bring quite an encampment to the event. But the tent means that nothing will blow into the ocean, and it's some peace and shade for one person.
