Crocheted table cover

We made this "spinning table" for our son, who likes to spin, but is becoming too big for a lot of little kid toys that do that. It's the base of an old desk chair, with a 3-foot wooden circle attached. I crocheted the cover from t-yarn and other fabric strips found at Trash for Teaching.

Post Swap-o-Rama-Rama pizza
| |
|
The girls are used to going for Pitfire Pizza after swap-o-rama-ramas at ReDiscover Center. So we still went to Pitfire, even though yesterday's event was at Crashspace (not so close by). I made the arm warmer at the swap.

CRASHspace in Culver City has a wood shop, metal shop, electronics, a little free library, and yesterday, a swap-o-rama-rama.

We're dogsitting. Charlie has claimed this old cushion next to the slider as his territory.
Tree Headpiece, continued
| |
|
Still working on the crocheted tree costume for Halloween. The headpiece has more felted-wool leaves now, and is wired for more support. Need to move on to the tunic/trunk component soon, but I'll still be adding more felted leaves and maybe some other features to the headpiece, as the costume develops.
This is probably the last photo of it that I can take with the webcam--it's growing too big!
