Manchester May Memories (3) - 7 May 1986

My records reveal that on 7 May 1986 I made a day trip to Manchester (from London) and, on a whirlwind tour, took in Manchester Piccadilly, Rose Hill Marple, Stockport and Manchester Victoria.

At that time the Pacers were barely a year old and the transition from first generation dmus was under way. Looking back (from April 2020), I was fortunate to capture 142042 at Manchester Victoria alongside a Birmingham RC&W Class 104 unit with DMB 53460 leading.
