Dakotas Gather (2) - 3 June 2014

On June 2-4 2014, a number of Dakotas gathered at Lee on Solent in connection with the commemorations of the 70th anniversary of D-Day. They would depart to France to participate in events there. As usual, access to Lee on Solent airfield was limited - a source of frustration for many including me - so I did my best with a long lens. I have cropped versions of this image but have published this full-size to capture both the occasion and the frustration.
