That's quite a heavy load to be transported! I counted 120 wheels in the trailer, plus 12 or 14 in the MAN. It will be interesting to visit it. I have a black submarine of the 1960's near where I live, but it's not yet ready for visits. The only one I visited was much smaller: "Vesikko" - the only German submarine of World War II that survived it. It can be visited in Suomenlinna (an archipelago in Helsinki Bay). Belated HFF, Edna!

Yes, you're right. And luckily it all worked out without any accidents! So when will your sub be ready for visits? This one here was just a preliminary visit right after its arrival. It will be fixed up and then tranported to another museum nearby (most likely sometime next year) where it's going to be shown as a permanent exhibit.

I've never been to Finland, so I missed the one you're talking about.

In Sinsheim kann man gar nicht mehr damit abtauchen. Das bleibt zukünftig ein oberirdisches u-boot ;-)
