Märkisches Museum, Berlin. Das Bauwerk entstand zwischen 1899 und 1908 als nach damaligem Verständnis hochmodernes Museum. Seine historisierende Architektur veranschaulicht regionale Baustile aus verschiedenen Epochen. Es war das erste speziell als Stadtmuseum konzipierte Gebäude der Welt.
