Yep, human nature being what it is, it often happened that, since she grumbled even when it was not all that long, we ended up not really paying mind until it had gotten a bit out of hand. Still, it made for a nice shot and, you are right, I can't see this photo without remembering and smiling.

Beautiful light here Annalia. I do like to see longer grasses and a more natural garden. As Peter says it is better for wildlife.

How nice to think of your mom.

Thank you very much, Laura. We had very different personalities, she loved to have everything in order and well trimmed, while for me the wilder the better, so it made for some recurring discussions that feel quite amusing now, as I look back at them. :) I don't remember exactly, but it may well be I took this shot in an effort to convince her of the beauty of letting the grass grow.

*smile* I love wild as well (as long as it isn't things with too many spikes - ha!)
