Thank you, Judite. This is Lungarno Guicciardini, actually not too far from the center of town, except it's on the opposite bank of the River. I shot the photo from the bike path that runs along the river bank on the other side. Still, you are right! there were other photographers, but they were all pointing their cameras upriver at Ponte Vecchio! :))

Thank you, George. This area of town is close to the Santo Spirito neighborhood, where I lived when I first came to Florence as a student. The part you see here is actually pretty upscale, but as you move away from the river into a warren of crisscrossing streets and old buildings it becomes more "lower class" and even a bit of a rough neighborhood.
