Dancing In The Dark
The 1931 revue "The Band Wagon" introduced the classic "Dancing In The Dark" (Arthur Schwartz - Howard Dietz). In the summer of that year the first recording came from Bing (Harry) Crosby. The 78 r.p.m. hit peaked at number three.
A decade later in 1941 clarinetist, actor, author and bandleader Artie Shaw (Arshawsky) and His Orchestra received a gold record for his version of "Dancing In The Dark". This peaked at number nine on Billboard.
