Where Have You Been (I've Been Everywhere)
The talented singer, songwriter, producer and actor Ester (Esther) Dean with the demo of “Where Have You Been” (Ester Dean – Lukasz Gottwald – Calvin Harris - Geoff Mack – Henry Walter) for Rihanna (Fenty). Ester has been nicknamed “The Song Factory”.
Geoff Mack’s name is in the credits because he wrote “I’ve Been Everywhere”. This is the original Australian hit for Lucky Starr (Leslie Morrison). Hank Snow had the American version while Stompin’ Tom Connors did the Canadian interpretation. Other countries had their own renditions.
The second track on the 2011 top ten album “Talk That Talk” by Rihanna was “Where Have You Been”. When issued as a single in 2012 the song conquered Billboard as number one Dance, number five on the Top One Hundred and twenty Adult Contemporary. Almost wherever there were song listings the tune hit the top ten.
