One of Warrington's best kept secrets. The largely hidden away transporter bridge was constructed over 100 years ago and stopped being operated about 50 years ago. The bridge used to transport railway trucks across the River Mersey to a factory located in the bow of the river.
The striking local red sandstone Saint Elphin's church, Warrington. At 280 feet, it is claimed to have the eighth tallest church spire in Britain and parts of the church date back to 1354.
