2007
This album is to showcase a tiny sample of the mass of photographs I took in 2007, which may be my most productive year ever in terms of photography. I took shots in nine countries of all sorts of different subjects, and took literally thousands of shots. Maybe it was a record, but I took so many pictures I don't have the time to count them all.
Praha Hlavni Nadrazi, North Throat, Covered In Sno…

Here's a view of Praha Hlavni Nadrazi from the north, although regrettably there wasn't much getting around the fence and still getting such an expansive shot. Safety first, I guess.

I also took some tram photos during the February snowstorms, some of which I uploaded previously, which this being the latest batch. I shot this one at Jiriho z Podebrad.

Here's yet another Jiriho z Podebrad shot, but facing in the other direction, giving us a faint look (back in the haze of snow) of Kostel Nejsvetejsiho Srdce Pane, or the Church of the Most Sacred Heart Of Our Lord.
DPP #6720 In The Snow, Flora, Prague, CZ, 2007
I shot this one in Flora, where the Palac Flora shopping centre is, over out of sight to the right.
DPP #7216 On Seifertova, Prague, CZ, 2007
I took this actually as I was taking the Ceske Drahy photos on the North throat of Hlavni Nadrazi, as the tram tracks go right under the railway tracks. This was maybe the best of the series, in spite of being of a tram and not a train! Dusk was falling, so it has a great blue twilight look to it, which is mostly authentic.
DPP #8402 In The Snow, Karlovo Namesti, Prague, CZ…
I took this one in Karlovo Namesti (actually Moran), one of the busiest parts of Prague for trams.
Snow, Namesti Bratri Synku, Prague, CZ, 2007
Namesti Bratri Synku definitely had as much snow as any other part of Prague this year, and maybe even a bit more than average.
Contrails Over Jindrisska, Prague, CZ, 2007
I just spotted all of these contrails illuminated by the sunset off to the left of the photo, and liked how they looked. They do serve as a reminder that there is a lot of air traffic coming in and out of Prague, even if it's nowhere near to what you would see in London or New York.
DPP #9111 In The Snow, Karlovo Namesti, Prague, CZ…

Here's yet another shot of the prototype Skoda 14T tram, #9111. As is now well known, the fleet are now entering service, and I've now spotted the entire current fleet 9111-9122 in regular service.
28 Rijna In The Sun, Prague, CZ, 2007
28 Rijna is not an address, but a street named for a date, the 28th of October. I took this photo because I liked the way the blazing sun that day had illuminated the street, and the action.
28 Rijna In The Sun, Picture 2, Prague, CZ, 2007
Same as the previous shot, I took this one for the sunlight, worried that my camera had malfunctioned on the first shot. In reality, this shot is more notable for the shadows in the foreground and the apparent light leak in the upper left. That light leak comes and goes on my Lomo 135, and I have yet to pinpoint the cause.
Converse Sign On Narodni Trida, Prague, CZ, 2007
My Dad really likes this shot, given its illustration of globalization, even if Converse has been a world brand for decades.
DPP #9113, Vaclavske Namesti, Prague, CZ, 2007
This was the first time I saw #9113...ever. It was also the first time I had ever seen a Skoda 14T in service before I saw it in testing, and the first time I saw a 14T working service 9. I was also lucky to have my Lomo, as the other camera I had with me that day was the Ikoflex, and I was certain that I wouldn't have it ready before the tram pulled out of the stop.

I do have other photos of this hotel and its neighbors on Flickr, but this is one of my best, I think.
DPP Lanova Draha #2 At Ujezd, Prague, CZ, 2007
This is one of my only successful photos taken inside the funicular railway station at Ujezd. I got it using my Lomo 135BC, but with the help of my Gossen Polysix light meter, since the Lomo doesn't have any specified settings for indoor shooting.
Pedestrian Tunnel Under Legerova, Prague, CZ, 2007
This was sort of one of those Lomo moments when I was walking to the Muzeum tram stop behind the Narodni Muzeum. The shot just looked good, so I took it.
Sunset, City Tower, Pankrac, Prague, CZ, 2007
This building lay dormant from the fall of Communism until this year, when construction finally restarted in earnest on it. It's one of the more interesting buildings in Prague, being a building under construction that was abandoned for so long, but I must admit that I'm generally ignorant of it otherwise, so any input would be welcome, particularly if I got the name wrong. I mainly took this shot for the sunset, though, bracketed three times, and got this shot that looks a bit like an HDR, but isn't. At least it worked!! :-)
