HFF und ein wunderschönes Wochenende!
Klein-Venedig in Bamberg

Die ehemalige Fischersiedlung in der Bamberger Inselstadt wird liebevoll "Klein Venedig" genannt. Dicht gedrängte Fachwerkbauten und winzige Gärten bestimmen das Bild dieses Stadtteils.

Die Fachwerkhäuser stammen überwiegend aus dem Mittelalter. Entlang der Regnitz reihen sie sich in einer hübsch geschmückten Zeile aneinander, Kähne dümpeln an den Anlegestellen in den Vorgärten. Mit dem Ausflugsschiff fährt man heute direkt an dieser einmaligen Häuserzeile vorbei.

In früheren Zeiten gab es hier schon Hochwasser, Christa. Mittlerweile gibt es vor der Stadt ein Wehr, das bei Hochwasser geschlossen wird und das überschüssige Wasser in definierte Überschwemmungsgebiete am rechten Regnitzarm und den Rhein-Main-Donau-Kanal ableitet.

Vielen Dank, liebe Gudrun! Für Hochwasser gibt es ein Wehr, welches das Wasser umleitet. Die Zeiten der im Wasser versunkenen Keller sind gottlob vorbei.
