A wall where,.. there seems to be,.... 'less of it' .....at each visit......
The "Stanage Chimney" a prominent feature of 'Stone Edge' in Derbyshire, a historic lead-smelting site constructed in 1770. It is the oldest free-standing industrial chimney in Britain, connected to an underground flue designed to provide a strong draught for smelting imported lead ore on the hilltop.
Other crumbling site remains can still be found around the chimney.

Nora Caracci, Edna Edenkoben, Günter Diel, Marije Aguillo and 8 other people have particularly liked this photo

At least the chimney still looks solid though the overgrown walls have a charm of their own. HWW!

Missed this a few days ago David. A grand little wall but a historical chimney. Must have been a dicey job smelting lead in the good old days. A fine capture, well done.

Very belated HWW, enjoy the rest of the weekend. Herb
