Nutria (PiP)
Nutria (Myocastor coypus) in der Bastau bei Minden.

Die Nutria stammt ursprünglich aus Südamerika. Als Pelztier wurde sie nach Europa gebracht, wo sie sich dann auch auswilderte. Nutrias werden bis zu 65 cm groß und 8 - 10 kg schwer. Es sind Nagetiere, die ihren Bau unterirdisch im Uferbereich bauen (PiP). Nurtias werden bis zu 10 Jahre alt und halten keinen Winterschlaf.
