le Langhe
The Langhe is a hilly area to the south and east of the river Tanaro in the province of Cuneo in Piedmont, northern Italy.
It is famous for its wines, cheeses, and truffles.
In 2014, Langhe were inscribed on UNESCO World Heritage list for its cultural landscapes, outstanding living testimony to winegrowing and winemaking traditions that stem from a long history, and that have been continuously improved and adapted up to the present day.
Its vineyards constitute an outstanding example of man’s interaction with his natural environment.
The winegrowing landscape also expresses great aesthetic qualities, making it into an archetype of European vineyards.

Adele club has replied to Jaap van 't Veen clubYes , it is a great place especially in autumn...vineyards colours are amazing!

Some of my all-time favourite wines come from here; unfortunately far too expensive for me these days, even if I could obtain them in Spain, which I can't!
I know, these wines are quite expensive abroad (and not that cheap here in Italy too..)
They are among my favourite wines too!
Andy Rodker club has replied to Adele clubMy parents were wine merchants, They had a good supply of Gaja wines. I was spoilt! Seldom a Christmas passed without a Sori San Lorenzo or a Sori Tildin!
Adele club has replied to Andy Rodker clubAt Easter we drank a Barbera d’Asti Superiore... highly recommended by a friend of ours. I must say he was right! :-)
