Hotel garden at night

Sound like you had a beautiful evening somewhere Elaine. If something goes on forever then you are looking at it. I don't think I have been in a position to see so many stars in one go, I once thought I might on a night flight back to home but I did not have a window seat so missed out.

Thanks Maurice, we dipped out on our holidays along with so many others in these difficult times. However, Northumberland is not too far to travel and I absolutely love it, although it is usually much more quiet than this visit. A bit of haze and moisture in the air so stars not as bright as the night before but still managed a few. I must have looked like some kind of mad woman wandering around the hotel garden at 1 am in the morning ...:)

I spent 2-3 nights looking for comet new-something (I forget its name). Without luck!
Now it will be the Perseied shower but light pollution means I will miss it again. Mind you if we have lockdown again very soon then I will see the commets every cloudness night because I will be sleeping on the streets!

Thanks Andy, I was disappointed not to have had a clearer view, but there was quite a lot of moisture and haze around sadly.

Hope things settle down for you and no sleeping on the streets, that said, it will be warmer than here!
