HBM ~ Inside The Pudding House

HBM ~ Inside The Pudding House
This is one of two Pudding Houses in the East Court of Montacute House. They are so called as guests would 'retire' to them to enjoy their puddings following a meal in the main dining room in Tudor and Stuart times. This would give the servants the opportunity to clear and prepare the dining room for the after-dinner entertainment.

A pudding here is a sweet dessert Jose Manuel. I haven't heard of the famous dish from your region, but having watched the link, it looks very nice and I'm sure it is delicious.
Thank you for your kind comments and I wish you a good week.

I would imagine that the seating for the Lords and Ladies of the day would be much more elegant and comfortable Amelia :-) The "throne" was actually quite comfortable....yes, I had to try it out!
