We've just arrived back from Devon - still unpacking.

Hi dearest LGM glad that you are back safely ~ how is Devon? ~~~ My younger brother lived in Newton Abbott for many years, but now lives in Shoreham. My Elder brother spent time in Plymouth and now lives in Cornwall, my sister lived outside of Newton Abbott, and now lives in Derbyshire ~ I was stationed in Fremington near Barnstable for a while many years ago and also spent a little time in Plymouth.

Devon was just lovely. We arrived in the pouring rain, and luckily The Mill in Otterton was open so we had a Devonshire hot ginger beer there - under cover before we repaired to our hotel. On Monday we went to Exeter mainly for the cathedral, which was really beautiful. The city itself hasn't fared well after a couple of bombings during WW2 and 'improvements' by incompetent planners. Much like Shrewsbury, but shoppers would find it a delight. ;-)))

We are happy to ignore shopping :)
