There are clues in the picture!
The logic goes like this...
We are looking in the mirror, so the picture is reversed, as evidenced by the word 'Globetrotter' on the white artic lorry. Hence the mirror is on the right hand side of the car.
Behind the line of vehicles on the right of the picture there are many trees, so this must be 'Lane 1'. Therefore the car is in 'Lane 2'. (If the car was in 'Lane 1', the central reservation and the opposite carriageway would be behind the line of vehicles)
So, in the real world, 'Lane 1' is to the right of the driver, so it cannot be in England.
The closeness of the vehicles (and that the driver of the white car was able to take the picture) suggest that the traffic is not moving.
As the traffic is not moving, the vehicles in 'Lane 1' have moved to the edge of the road, while those in 'Lane 2' have moved to the centre. The only country in Europe that does this is Germany. Everywhere else, stationary traffic is not in any kind of discipline.
The Germans are very good at following their orders!!!
Alternatively, I have some other pictures dated this day, which are defiinately Germany, so I must have been there!
