As for the language, Welsh as something called 'mutations' where the first letter of a word changes according to the last letter of the previous word. This can make it very difficult to translate!

Ich freue mich, dass du es interessant fandest.
Die Sprache kam vor langer Zeit aus Frankreich und hat viele Wörter mit dem Französischen gemeinsam. Die englische Sprache, die wir sprechen, stammt ursprünglich aus Deutschland und kam von den Wikingern zu uns, wodurch das Walisische fast in Vergessenheit geriet. Seit damals haben sich die Sprachen weiterentwickelt!!

You are right! In a recent visit to Cardiff I only heard one couple talking Welsh over several days,

The fence blocks the access to a not reliable stairway. Welsh has some words that Portuguese can recognize: Perygl = Perigo; cadair = cadeira. That's curious. Belated HFF, Peter!
