Many Caterpillars!

Many Caterpillars!
This could be a brown tail moth caterpillar..

Jean-louis Thiaudiere, Jean-luc Drouin, Annemarie, Ulrich John and 10 other people have particularly liked this photo

I can only confirm the statement, 'many caterpillers', Pete!,
Identification has to be left to the experts!
Striking shot anyway!
Best wishes,
Andy

Hi Andy ,
Thank you for visiting!
Glad you like it.
We have had a few news stories about whole trees covered in this kind of silk web, which eventually lead me to the possible culprits.
Best Wishes, and stay safe,
Peter

My dear Füsun
Thank you very much!
I am pleased you found it interesting.
I came across this on a walk the other week, but had no idea what it was until I dug into the internet..
Best Wishes, and stay safe

Hi Erich,
Thank you very much!
Glad you like it.
Yes, Steve has given me the same warning below! In this case I was very careful to stay a long way from them, take the photo and walk away! As I remember I had a very thick jacket with long sleeves too!!
Best Wishes,
Peter

Hi Steve,
Your visit is much appreciated. Thank you!
I'm happy that you had a good look for me!!
Erich has given me the same warning!!
I happened to see them on a walk on a little used path, so I will not be coming in contact with them again! (Although no problem this time)
Best Wishes,
Peter
