Such a lovely place in Highland , North Carolina... this cabin, where we stayed several days, is a 4-story home, tho it doesn't appear that way in this shot. The entrance is here where the porch is , ground level, but at the back, facing a lovely mountain stream, is 2 stories down to the stream.. top level is here where the balcony is. Lots of balconies and stairs from each level, down to the stream..

WOW well you cannot get closer to nature than this my dear Sarah and staying here for a few days you must have felt right in the wild .. i wonder if the first thing you did was check for any unwelcome critters around ?

Yes dear Steve, this WAS close to nature for sure, A lovely place. DID NOT look for critters and SAW NONE on or near the property. This looks a great place to enjoy for a vacation in the mountains!
I have visions of going to bed hearing the wolves howling under the full moon, and waking up to see bears....!!!!

(Sadly, I have yet to meet a bear in the wild..)
