Griffon vulture on El Cancho de La Bola, Sierra de La Cabrera.
I know I've said this before and I know one or two of you don't like the thought but this granite boulder is only white because of 10,000 years of guano!
HFF everyone!

Horses on Carn Marth. This is inland Cornwall but you can just about make out the sea at or near Falmouth.

... or Huer's Lookout, Portreath, Cornwall.
The Huer had to look out for the coming of the pilchard shoal; when seen, the town would galvanise into frenetic but well-practiced action! The nightmare scenario was if it was missed because it passed by in the night! In which case somewhere else in Wales or Ireland benefited.

Only now noticed that this could equally have been my HFF shot! So I thought; OK why not! Two HFF best wishes to my ipernity friends this week!

Cornish coast near Penberth Cove.
Black and on full screen please. You can then just about make out the Lizard Peninsula in the very far distance (the southernmost point in the United Kingdom). This shot is taken approx 5 miles from Land's End, (the most westerly point of England) These geographical niceties matter!
