The granite mountain of La Sierra de La Cabrera. Viewed from the upper slopes of El Cancho Gordo, along the ridge to El Pico de La Miel at the far end. A little cropping and that was it. No other editing needed in this excellent December light!

Granite scenery. The three peaks L to R of El Cancho Largo, El Cancho Gordo and El Cancho de La Bola. As you all know by now, this is my all-time favourite walking area, with the sea cliffs and coastal paths in Cornwall a very close second!

The old Southwest Peninsula Coast path went this way but it was a touch too strenuous and steep so it was re-routed up above on the flat and, frankly, boring path. I enjoy following the original path here.
