Instituto Homeopático y Hospital de San José. I hold absolutely no truck with the snake-oil fraud that is homeopathy - but this, the first homeopathy institution in Spain, is an intriguing architectoral edifice, built by architect José Segundo de Lema in 1877. It became very derelict until rebuilt in 2008. Sadly, it is still a school for that awful pseudo-science that should have been made criminal decades ago, no matter what Prince Charles thinks..

My local park, and they change the volume, force and aspect of these water fountains every few hours. At this juncture, they look very swan-like! Also, the pink paving slabs; granite, so typical of the Mountains of Madrid nearby, fit in well in these settings.

The only possibly POV. All the other benches were occupied by the unfortunate, the homeless, the winos and the addicts. And it wasn't possible to stay too long because of the smells. A great pity. And it will only get worse ... I kick myself now ... a shot of them on the benches might have made a more powerful statement.

The old-look (and iconic) stadium will soon take on a completely different appearance.

Parque del Oeste, Madrid. I was lining up a shot when the sprinklers came on at full force and the twin spurt of the one you can see here, came straight up between my legs and knocked me off my feet! I managed to take the shot you see and held on to my smartphone! But for 20 minutes it looked like I had had an unfortunate accident!
