La Sierra de La Cabrera. My favourite Mushroom Rock can be seen from here but only the cap; the stalk is hidden. Can you see it? Clue: it's on the horizon.

Actually this kind of bouldery granite is found in only a few locations! Thank you Malik!

Yes I do like the granite in your backgrounds - it must be so lovely to see so much of it around you. Dartmoor has a lot of granite too.

Dartmoor, Exmoor and the moors of Cornwall and the granite cliffs. I miss them, Jenny.
...just as I currently miss the countryside everywhere! :o(

Did you pick the rounded boulder on the horizon about 1/4 way in from the right, Jean?

An impressive rockscape, Andy. I suspect the one on the far right horizon is watching us.

Thanks Herb. No, it won't be for some time yet. Relaxations of lockdown are very limited and not in the major cities at all!

A wonderful scene.................I love the granite boulders, but I also like the trees that are dotted around, especially the larger one just left of centre. Any idea what they are Andy?
Andy Rodker club has replied to Keith Burton club
Thank you, Keith.
Looks like a chestnut to me. Mainly you get holm oak here, sometimes the occasional majestic deciduous Pyrennean oak, but all these oaks are succumbing to longhorn beetle, sadly. Ash, poplar and birch can also be found in these mountains.

Keith Burton club has replied to Andy Rodker club
Thanks Andy..............quite a decent selection considering the amount of granite around! I've not heard of Longhorn Beetle being a particular pest for Oak trees in Britain (yet).

I forgot to mention Scots Pine. There are a few impressive specimens.
