Bronze Age tomb

Nice colourful view Andy, the tomb is a new one on me!

Wow so that's a Bronze Age tomb. What a great place to have one - with a view of the sea - mind you with erosion since it was built - I should think it was probably about 3 miles away at the time it was built!!!

Probably just like this even then, Jenny . I suspect this is about 4,000 years old (give or take) and the main coastal changes would have been over by about 7,000 years ago.
Of course, isostatic readjustment is still going on but at a less relentless pace.

That has stood the test of time very well.....................and the stones have weathered beautifully. I love all the colourful shrubs and grasses surrounding the tomb, A brilliant shot mate!

I like to think I come here a lot for rest and conjecture, but the truth is I've been this way three times only.
Once aged 17 doing this West Penwith part of the coast path with a tent and 2 friends from France, once in 2010 with my girlfriend at that time but no camera, and this time in 2015.
But a little goes a long way!!!
