That is a tough one! I tried to search for that other flag, but nothing so far. But I will keep on trying! Maybe it is just a typical towel decoration... =)

This housed an academy I used to work for. I didn't know they had moved so when i passed by yesterday to say hello, I found they had gone! It doesn't look like a hotel or pension or I might have suggested towels or small carpets.

That's a possibility but I don't think this building is used for ecclesiastical purposes. Until a couple of years ago it housed the academy i initially worked for here in Madrid
