This won't be everyone's cup of tea. I posted it on Pano and it got more or less zero response. Already an improvement here!

Like the graphic and the colours very much ! And it's nicely composed. An unusual but very impressive view !

I like the composition a lot! Many Pano folks were too fixated on GE-photos, it's much more varied here:-)

You might try some noise reduction to fix the (colour) "noise" in the dark parts but as far as I can remember Picasa doesn't have that option.

Thank you, Gudrun!

I might try it again from the original and simply lessen intensity of the bold and the saturation and see if that reduces the noise without dulling the effect I want to achieve.

You're right about Pano!

I used to get stick for my lack of sophistication. There were a handful of well-meaning and very good photographers who spent a lot of time 'advising' the less talented among us. In the main the tips were well-considered, even if rather didactic, as though anyone who became a member automatically wanted to devote a lifetime of study to the subject! It sounds churlish to complain especially as these elderly, retired, mainly northern Englishmen (always men), gave up a lot of their time in the furtherance of our education! It is just that it became overwhelming and very condescending, as if there were only one way (their way) of doing things!

The atmosphere is much less patronising on ip!!!

I've never said this before and none of the people to whom I refer are on ip, unless under a pseudonym (!), and enough water has passed under the bridge, I think. I did upset one of them when I made a flippant remark to a particularly obscure technical point (I reminded him, after a very lengthy essay from him, that all I had was a Nokia N95 camera phone!) and I was 'advised' by his friend that he had been extremely angry!

Now I think: 'too bad'! :o))

Sorry to bore you!
Have a good Easter!!
Best wishes,
Andy

Pano had the know-alls but also the other sort who took absolutely boring photos of every inch of road;-) And btw a theoretical knowledge of photography and expensive equipment doesn't always produce good photos...
With so many users there were always bound to be the "funny" ones who took flippant comments personally. They are here too but mostly you can avoid them.

Boy, do I remember the boring ones!!!
(often, but not always, from Siberia and I had to pity them!)

Not only from Siberia, also plenty of Germans. In places it got so bad that I stopped looking at the photos in Google Earth;-)

I don't think I looked at many photos in Google Earth. Mainly because I had problems with it. I kept on being kicked out and having to re-apply and use a new password each time and all kinds of stupidities and I had no idea why! So I didn't bother with it in the end!
