Lovely tranquil shot ----> I lived in Cornwall in the 1970s Andy, a place called Edgcumbe, half way between Falmouth and Helston

Been through it. Had some friends at Wendron and Porkellis and I used to shop at the great wine and whisky shop behind the post office in Constantine. I'm sure you know all of these places!

They have lived here for 20 years, Marie-france.. Before that they lived in London, My Mum was brought up in Cornwall, with family still here - so they decided to retire down here..

I have had correctly made Cornish pasties only a few times and they can be terrific. Unfortunately most that you find, even from so-called traditional Cornish Pasty shops are rubbish. I doubt that your Corfe Cornish pasty was particularly original!
When made well - they are great! (although sadly as a diabetic, pastry is forbidden me, so they are now all but a distant memory!).
