Biscuit Basin

Following the main road north from Old Faithful and the Upper Geyser Basin we come first to Black Sand Basin and then to Biscuit Basin with its odd, dough-like formations. Biscuit Basin is on the F'irehole River and from the parking area the walkway leads across the river to the main features of the basin. This photo was taken near the bridge across the river and looks north (downstream) across the edge of the basin with Sapphire Pool Spring in the foreground and a trout fisherman in the background.
